My tinfoil hat is on extra tight right now. I mean bombs on Monday, Ricin on Tuesday, now massive fertilizer plant fire and explosions in Waco, TX of all places. Someone find me an odds maker that can lay down the odds off these three things happening during the same week as the anniversary of Waco, Oklahoma City Bombing, Columbine, and Virginia Tech. Stay Frosty boys and girls.

Although I just read that the Fertilizer Plant Fire may be a rekindle from earlier. My paranoia side is happy about this, but my firefighter side is pissed - No Rekindles, Ever!

(CNN) -- An explosion ripped through a fertilizer plant Wednesday night in West Texas and may have caused dozens of injuries, officials said.A hospital in Waco, Texas, has been told to anticipate 100 injured people coming in from the fertilizer plant area, an official at the medical facility said. Glenn Robinson, CEO of Hillcrest Hospital, said a field triage station was being set up at the plant some 18 miles north of Waco after the Wednesday night explosion.A photo after the explosion -- which reportedly happened around 7:50 p.m. (8:50 p.m. ET) -- showed a huge plume of smoke rising high into the air.The West Fertilizer Plant is located about 20 miles north of Waco. A school and a nursing home are among the buildings near the plant, CNN affiliate KWTX reported.Other authorities did not respond immediately to CNN's requests for information Wednesday night.Tommy Alford, who works in a convenience store about three miles from the plant, told CNN that several volunteer firefighters were at the store when they spotted smoke.Alford said the firefighters headed toward the scene and then between five and 10 minutes later, he heard a massive explosion.

................. Oh brother................ [Coffee]

No causalities are listed for now, hopefully it stays that way. The one news page say a lot of injuries including children.

There were reports that people were trapped in the nursing home and in an apartment building.

Hopefully they can get them out.

I am not putting on a tin foil hat, just a crazy week, and shite comes in 3's.

This is not good. My Grandpa is in the nursing home and my Aunt works across the street at the assisted living home. We know she is hurt but not to what extent and we do not have an update on Grandpa Got several other 2nd and 3rd cousins that work in the nursing home and assisted living - no word on them either.

I was just there last weekend to visit - that plant is only 200 yds max from the nursing home.

Prayers to all of your family.

I'm assuming the female in this video received perforated eardrums. I read one article saying that doors were blown open almost 20 miles away from the blast site.... Crazy...

Wow that video was crazy. Depending on their knowledge of what was burning, there could have been fire teams around that fire.

From what I read this morning, the assumed casualties are EMS and firefighters that were at the fire when the blast took place.

As for the video, the safety of your family is more important than rubber necking. Here's to hoping that poor girl didn't lose her hearing.

Lived in Waco a few years with the job. Spent lots of time at that Czech bakery the picture at the top, damn good food!
This is very sad indeed. Good people in that town.
Prayers out to the member who has family in the nursing home. I understand that building sustained damage. Prayers headed your way.

The latest news report from the local says 5-15 people presumed dead. Lots of injuries, pictures shows the destruction pretty severe.

What a week. :(

Wow, very scary indeed! That video was intense too, I didn't realize it would be that horrible, hope that girl is okay.

Prayers go out to the Fire/EMS crews at the scene when the explosion happened. They are the true heroes! Prayers also go out to everyone else affected by the explosion!

Hopefully this is just a tragic coincidence, and not a sign of a trend that is starting. There are too many soft targets in this country for all of us to watch over, without becoming a police state.
