Filthy 1%er. Who do you think you are spending that much on a car?
We had a guy roll into the dealership in a Veyron once. More then the price of the car we figured he spend 30k plus on plate for the thing.
Yikes! Jeffco didn't even mail my renewal stuff this year, I just went down this morning to get them renewed and it was like $190 or so (with their BS credit card fee of roughly $4.00). Down about $40 from last year, and my car is a 2005. Maybe I won't look into buying a 2013 Charger next year.
I'm expecting to pay about $800 next week.
The lady did save me like $54 by giving me a credit on my old plates that I traded in. If I didn't use a check it would of cost me $19 for a CC fee which is BS for sure.
Yup, plates are ridiculous. Ritter didn't help the cause by adding more fee's/taxes to plates.
Plates in CO are 10x more expensive than SD. I paid $50 to license a new car in 2011.
The best part about Colorado's license plate structure is it automatically defaults to the original taxable value of the car. So if you buy a used car that one point was very expensive what you pay for it today really doesn't matter. I spent 15 minutes getting yelled at the other day by someone who did just this.
I need to move to SD!
$285 for a 2 year old motorcycle. Yeah...I feel your pain.
