Ford 9" axle work needed

I have an older Ford and I need a rear axle expert to work some magic.

I would like my current axle to be a trac-loc instead of a pegleg (it's a 9" don't know anything else about it other than it is Not original to the car) and I'd also like the axle tubes shortened a bit. Not tubbed but just shortened approx 2" -3" so my current wheel/tire combo fits in the wheel well better. Wheels and tires are correct for the car, but they stick out too far, and there's room inside the wheel well to pull them back in, I just have too long of axles & tubes I believe.
Does anyone here either do this kind of work or know anyone reputable who does?
The rear is in the car, the car is driveable.

We can narrow the housing but the axles you would need to buy new or have them shortened. Front Range Driveline is close to you they do good work.

Easier to find a narrower housing/axle combo off a different application? Custom axles wil be pricey

Doubt it, I have a 9" rear in a car they didn't come standard in. I need to do more research, I didn't think it would be an issue to cut & respline for someone with the skills

When did Currie Enterprises close their store and leave Denver? That's who I went to for my 9".

Why not check out mark williams in louisville they could do all you wanted and more . http://www.markwilliams.com/ They build some pretty awesome stuff.

It may be more cost effective to buy a drop in carrier and new rear wheels with the off set you want. If you like the stock steel wheels, you can get the barrels cut off and nearly any width and diameter put back on the centers. If you don't need tons of strength finding an 8 inch might work too. They are fairly stout. Had one in a Maveric grabber that held up to tons of abuse. And they put these under a lot of little cars. Falcons, Maverics and such so you can likely find a narrower setup. Custom rear ends get expensive fast.

Yeah they won't be the cheapest but you won't have any issues with there work.
