"Spikes" Heavy Buffer...?

Wanted your opinions on upgrading one of my Stag (Mod.2) with a Spikes heavy buffer (ST-T2 mod.)

Also, what are your suggestions for a spring upgrade....

if it works leave it alone, thats your best option. h buffers reduce felt recoil ar's, in the 5.56 platform they hardly have any no big deal, they reduce fire rate in a full auto platform, ar's are semi auto therefore no help needed there, imho they serve no purpose, save your money and buy a better optic, or more ammo.

I tend to agree- I WISH it was full, and I dont hear the "rattle" that some people say they hear.

yea it does nothing.....if you want to get rid of the rattle you can use jp's captured buffer spring

Has ran like a champ from Day 1, with no cycling or other issues to date.

I have a heavy buffer (equal to a t2) and a 20% over wolff spring in my 16". I felt it did make a difference. Where is the rifle throwing the brass? 3 o'clock to about 4:30 is good. 1 o'clock to about 2:30 is over gassed. It will function, but the rifle is running harder than it needs to. Just my opinion.

I did not know over gassed guns could be id'd by where the brass goes. That's pretty cool. I guess the speed of the bolt has a lot to do with where the brass gets flung?

I bought one of these, noticed a difference of it shooting flatter. Never really minded the noise of the spring, but lack of it is nice too.

If this is accurate, it's great info and a new tip to keep in mind next time i go shooting. I know one of my rigs slings slightly forward of 3:00.
