World war z
Sucked. At least if you read the book. Its been a while since i read the book, but I literally cannot think of a single thing in the movie that was in the book. Completely different stories.
also, I noticed a couple of glaring errors early in the movie and I wasn't even looking.
I saw David morse, the actor, on the UN ship. And then 10 minutes later he appears in a completely different role.
also, they were 200 miles off the Atlantic coast on a carrier, take off in a c130, and then they're immediately in South Korea. Can a c130 make that trip without refueling (in a world that is shown to be nearly impossible to refuel in)? No.

Guess I'm too old, I can't even fathom the idea of spending money to go see a movie like that. Swarms of thousands of high-speed flesh eating zombies? Please. Brad Pitt must be broke or something.

I much prefer the slow zombies of the Walking Dead.
-
Seeing trailers with zombies attacking helicopters in some form of "human" tower...I just say, wtf. Pass.

We got about half way through the book during our road trip this week. My wife keeps yelling at me about anticipating that the movie will suck. This thread isn't giving me any hope. :(
This is my second time through the book, and I have forgotten just how great it is.

I appreciated it for what it was but it doesn't hold a candle to the book.
-
It's a good thing I'm illiterate, no fear of reading the book, that way the movie might be good to me!
-
Damn 2nd person saying it sucks....Was looking forward to seeing it too.
-
Ruined my Sunday plans. Dang it.

Re: World war z
This was by far the best review I've seen on the movie. Isn't exactly a strong endorsement.
