On national geographic right now. Call me naive, I had not idea we had such a drug scene going on. It's nice to see the harmless pot laws recently passes have escalated the crips/blood war as they now are pushed out of the dope biz and into hard stuff by the influx of legal MJ.
One more reason to stay the hell out of Denver.
The C/B ms13, norteno's , this gang, that gang, have always been major player's in the drug trade. They have been muling Coke, heroin, meth, and weed (pocket change) for decades. They have not been PUSHED out of the weed biz, just not as "involved" as they use to be.
There was a law suit filed by the ACLU, on behalf of persons of color years ago, because the CSP "profiled" tinted windowed, late night, out of state plates, luxury cars being driven by blacks and hispanics. The ACLU won the case, even though CSP and other LE groups along the I -70, 25 and 80 corridor , had a 95% (approx) arrest AND conviction rate, go figure.
I jhad no clue. Not what comes to minds when I think Denver. Federal and Exposition isn't that far away from us,
Aurora is worse, federal is chicano with some overlapping asian's. Quick trivia......... When hard core violent felons who skipped out of CA are found, 85% of them were picked up in the metro area.Quote:

Don't forget that everything is more dramatic for television. I remember my cousin telling me about an episode of Gangland where they said that Denver had some of the worse gangs ever. I reminded him that EVERY episode says, and they wouldn't run an episode about a bunch of gangs that aren't that bad.
I believe that program was Operation Desert Snow. I ran into a few officers at Camp George West that were training for it and one mentioned it was quite successful.Quote:

The gangs are everywhere, trick for the average citizen is staying out of their way, i have a bil that is on the gang unit for dpd, he just moved out of denver because of it and standard policy is no uniforms worn home so you neighbors cant identify you as a cop
