Wall mounted Chess Set?
I saw this guy that makes upright Chess Boards at the Home & Garden Show and thought it would be neat if he used Ammo as the Chess pieces. The million dollar question is which bullets would you use if you were the designer? Keep in mined both sides need to match in caliber size, but differ in color. Also there is a stability issue and of course the primers would have to be removed for safety.
A. Pawns- ?
B. Castles- ?
C. Knights- ?
D. Bishops- ?
E. Queens- ?
F. Kings- ?

Oh, They aren't "Castles" They're Rooks....
Yes, I've played on and off since 7th grade...
-
Pardon muwa Rooks lol, How about a 12ga. 3"mag. I do like the 50BMG for the king but your right it's just too dang big. Good choices though. How would you modify the frame? maybe use some old rifle stocks or barrels?
-
Well some of us do have that "culture" thing.. [Tooth] "Castles" I never...
I'm not sure about the 3" shell,, I don't think it would be "big" enough.. The Queen has all the power, But, She still Likes Her King "big"
Maybe something, Say "exotic" Like a .577 T-Rex, .50/120 Sharps, or a .460 Weatherby Mag.. I just thought of the .50BMG first, 'cause it's easy to get dummy rounds..
As far as the frame, I think stocks or barrels would have too much of an angle too them, Just wouldn't "look" right... Maybe inlays..

The Queen is the most powerful piece. It should be the most powerful caliber.
OK, now how do we differentiate between black and white? Brass vs nickel cases?
-
The rook should be a wad cutter.
