Kids these days. Back in my day we didn't have "energy drinks" we had coffee. Want more energy from it? Brew it darker.
Real men drink coffee.
When I need energy, I eat something or take a nap.
Every once in a while I'll have one to keep me going. I don't drink coffee.
Normally Im a coffee drinker (Like tmleadr03 the blacker the better), but recently Ive tried the Advocare 24 day challenge and part of it is a product they sell called Spark. Ive noticed that Spark really works for me, its only vitamins and amino acids but it really gives me focused energy. I take it first thing in the morning before I eat and I dont necessarily feel the need for coffee (doesnt always stop me). Normal energy drinks like Monster or RedBull dont work for me, and they are way to sweet and sugary. Personally I think of lot of our energy dependence is between the ears, if mentally we dont think we're tired, we wont be tired but advertising and marketing continually pound us saying we are supposed to get tired and need an energy drink. My $0.02
...and CAFFEINE (120mg/cup)
(Coffee is about 100-150mg/cup, Redbull is about 80mg/cup , per this data http://www.energyfiend.com/the-caffeine-database )

Don't get me wrong. I'm not anti-caffeine.
I'm just pointing out that there is a "little more" to the uplifting kick in Spark than just vitamins and amino acids.
When I'm lifting heavy I'll take a pre workout supplement, but otherwise I prefer the black stuff, the darker the better. Here is my newest acquisition....
