Actually I'm all for it ... no mag ban in Kentucky ... maybe we could get Texas to annex El Paso County (since Texas had an "El Paso" first).
At any rate the campaign is working because I'd never heard of Breckenridge Distillery before this but now I'll have to get a bottle and see how it stacks up against my Makers Mark.
What the Hell is this?!
"It's Bourbon, it's some of the world's finest bourbon...in the world!"
To be honest I am actually thinking of buying a bottle of this, so it worked.
Brilliant marketing. Its not too in your face and fun to consume.
Same here ... based on the prices I'm finding online it looks like a 750ml bottle will probably cost as much as a 1.75l bottle of Maker's from Costco ($45-50) ... so it is a bit more expensive but not as ridiculously over-priced as Stranahans ($80-100 for 750ml).
There's a store locator on the Breckenridge Distillery site
https://www.breckenridgedistillery.com/hooch/locator/
Looks like a TON of places in and around Aurora (same with Colorado Springs ... in fact it looks like the liquor store in the Costco at University Village that I usually shop at has it)
I've seen it at a few stores in Boulder. Haven't tried any yet.
The CO bourbons/whiskeys are hit and miss, for me.
Stranahan's Whiskey- Diesel fuel
303 Whiskey- Not so much
Fireside Whiskey- Good stuff
Some to try;
Colorado Straight Bourbon
Boathouse Distillery Bourbon
Colorado Gold Straight Bourbon Whiskey
I y'all find any Pappy Van Winkle, in your travels, let me know.
