When you have a bad heart valve, from the poor circulation the extremities see a build up of fluid. Replacement of the valve can have a dramatic change of appearance as a result. I noticed the same thing when I saw Clayton Cramer a month ago at DU as he'd had a valve replacement in August.
That and anyone that has done major time for something serious in the Hospital can attest to how much weight you lose. I spent 20 days in an ICU and over 30 days total in Belgium. I went in having scored a 290 the week before and weighing 170. I came out at 135 and looked like death warmed over.Quote:
