Bulk medical supplies?

Who knows of sources for bulk or discount medical supplies? Basic stuff like gauze pads, tape, bandages etc. I have found some through Amazon, but wondering if there are any medical clearinghouse suppliers to compare. Trying to avoid spending on all the extra packaging that would come with buying as typically offered in the local store. I want the big boy carton of items for pennies each!

Please skip the lectures about not going cheap when your life depends on it, blah blah blah. This stuff isn't rocket science and having more than less on hand is what I am seeking.[Coffee]

I looked into this a while back. While you could order from a major medical supply store or maybe someplace like rescue essentials, I found I got the best deals on amazon. Just be patient and watch for the stuff you're looking for and then check to see what else the same vendor has for sale.

It also depends on what you mean by "bulk" - for me at least, I didn't need a pallet of gauze, I just wanted several boxes and didn't want to buy individuals at walmart. The same was true for sample sizes of meds, alcohol wipes, etc.

I just bought a bunch of bottles of povi/iodine 2 days ago on amazon because they were a great deal, and threw in a few other things the seller was offering without increasing shipping at all.

Related, I had thought it would be a cool idea to get a group together - maybe with some "new" preppers who don't have a lot of stock, and pool together a bunch of people to get everybody a good deal. Seemed like it would be a challenge to organize though.

I suggest anyone who hasn't, take one of CMALLIARDS Causality Care classes. Outside the knowledge of what to do. You also have a better understanding of what to have on hand.

Any of the EMS suppliers will have quite a bit of stuff. I use Life Assist, for most of the stuff I need for classes.

Buy though Vet Suppliers is never a bad idea, it is cheaper than other "human" sources.

Also dont over stock on bandaids and tape. The adhesive will dry out after a couple of years
