Best April Fools prank

So 10mm-man totally got me on his AR giveaway. I guess I am a sucker for stuff like this.
So when I was younger I was a night manager/Zamboni driver for the ice rink at Chapel Hills Mall. One of my jobs was to cash out the registers, log the $$ for the day and put it in the safe before closing for the night. One of my coworkers was my best friend and did the same job I did.
I worked late that night, closed at 11 or midnight then I was supposed to be back in at 0600 for the Sunday shift. I come in on time and the program manager, day manager and my friend were in the office when I went to open up. I thought it was a bit strange. Once in the office I noticed a load of paperwork laid out and the safe was open. Shortly after I got there the mall security weenies showed up.
The PM took me aside and told me they came in and the safe was open and they were missing the $$ from the previous day. I completely freaked! They played it so well. They told me to go do my work, stay on the radio and they'd get back to me. They call me 30 minutes later and I go back in the office and there's a COS Police Officer in the office now. He didn't say a word, just looked at me. He was a neighbor of my friend and had just gotten off shift but played along.
They confirmed they were missing the money and that they needed to take statements etc. I started talking about conspiracies, thinking who would try to set me up and it never occurred it was a joke. I was rambling, saying over and over I didn't do it, someone is screwing me..... They printed some fake corporate letterhead and got me to start filling it out like it was a police statement. I thought for sure I was going to jail. This was after about an hour or so of letting me stew so it was set in my brain I was being framed. I barely get started and the PM told me to make sure I put the date in correctly. I looked at her and told her I knew what day it was but didn't catch on. I was so pissed. Then my buddy comes out with a highlighter and highlights the date, I asked him WTF. He pointed at the date and laughed just a bit.
I got up and walked out, didn't talk to any of them for half the day. We still laugh about that day.

O man; that is one heck of a JOKE!! [LOL][ROFL3][Beer]

Way back when, I was in the habit of writing annual letters but I missed sending it out with Christmas and the New Year and finally it was getting into March so I decided to adjust it and sent it out around March 29,30. The first 2.5 pages were all genuine end-of-year, how are you, here's what I've done stuff but at the end of the third page I started writing about having met a gal -- divorcee with 2 kids, something like 5-6 years older than me (I was about 22, 23 at the time). Top of the fourth page, I note she's got orders to go remote so we decided to elope and in fact I'm writing said letter on our honeymoon ... midway down the fourth page I had a single line stating she didn't exist, things are going great, hope you're fine ...

It appears half my family don't read well or completely as many of them never got to that last line. Most of my aunts were ready to write checks as wedding gifts. My grandmother called my mother at work to say congratulations, Mom asks "what for?", Grandma says "oh, nothing" and hangs up. Mom then has to stew until my Dad gets home from golf and grocery shopping and she can get him on the phone. She asks him if he's fetched the mail (no, not yet) then tells him to fetch it and asks if "there's a letter from YOUR son in there". When he answers in the affirmative, she has him read it to her over the phone. First words out of her mouth when she called me after work were, "I'm going to get even with you." :D
