Hmmm really? If you go to jail as a kid you are more likely to be a criminal as an adult (and therefore at higher risk). I'm astonished that it took a study to figure this out and that someone is (acting) surprised by the results.


The actual story leads into how we need to treat these people and keep them out of jail so they don't die early. Only one gratuitous mention of them all dying by guns then they just used violent death or homicide.

so letting them get away with murder at a young age will let them grow up to be well-adjusted adults?

Sounds like real progressive thinking...

Obviously, we need to ban detention centers.

Kids end up like this because of non-present and non-involved parents (plural). But that is now considered judgmental and intolerant, so it must be something other than the truth that is making kids this way. Yes, a generalization and there are plenty of exceptions granted.

Interesting article but nothing there that has not been know for hundreds of years. The demographics and results and then the studies that confirm the results and then again with the same government funded treatments that will not cure the issue.
