I think they call that one the firing pin safety spring.
Nothing worse than air soluble springs and small parts.
And with your tenure in the gunsmithing business...I'm sure no one knows better than you sir. Of course, you're really not a true gunsmith until you've tried to install a small, spring-loaded part and have it go flying, followed by a string of colorful language, then only to find yourself on the floor searching for it. Then unable to find it, come across it by chance when looking for another small part that went flying days later. [facepalm]Quote:
