Ferguson ain't got nothing on East Saint Louis in Illinois. Lived there as a kid. Think Detroit on crack. We as a family, left shortly after a friend of mine was murdered. I was 13 at the time.
East St. Louis has the highest crime rate in the United States (according to the FBI's 100 most dangerous cities list).
