Panera joins the "No Guns" crowd

"We ask that guns not be brought into this environment unless carried by an authorized law enforcement officer," the company said in a statement. "Panera (PNRA) respects the rights of gun owners, but asks our customers to help preserve the environment we are working to create for our guests and associates."


According to the article, this wasn't a Moms Demand Action-incited incident; in fact, it sounds like Panera asked THEM.


Shannon Watts, the founder of Moms Demand Action, said Panera approached the group three months ago in an effort to move quickly on the issue.

I have been there exactly one time, expensive and not that great tasting. Never planned on going back anyways.

Them asking me not to, but being too cowardly to commit to FORBIDDING it, would be enough reason for me to go there and OC. No having your cake and eating it too.
