How to get loc tite residue off?

I've got a free float rail that's all gooped up with loc-tite residue. I've hit it with laquer thinner, acetone, xylene, and alcohol. No bueno.

Any idea how to get this off?

Hit it with a propane torch, then some brake parts cleaner and a brass brush. May take a few tries, but that has worked best for me.

Rockset is a whole other mess, but hot water soak and a brass brush seems to work, again with a few tries.

Thanks. On a whim I tried a razor blade (it's a smooth part) and it came right off. Good to know the other method for the future, though.

Yup, FIRE!!

Just make sure you use non-chloronated parts cleaner when you do it, high heat and chloronated chemicals can leave your lungs pretty much shredded in a single wiff. You shouldn't be getting it that hot when melting away a little loctite, but shit happens and that's not a good one to have happen.

Just for future reference. The "Chisel" product is called gasket remover, but it works wonders at removing excess LocTite of any strength.
