Seeking professional caliber guidance. Knights Armament SR-25 build

Hello guys,
I am a professional mechanical engineer who designs helicopter door gunner simulators for various branches of the military. This time I am taking a Knights Armament SR-25 and turning it into a simulated M110. My job has lent itself a couple valuable and very accurate pieces of hardware that I would like to take advantage of. I have brand new matched Knights Armament SR-25 Barrel and Bolt carrier assembly. What brand/model uppers/lowers can I use these on to make the most accurate rifle? I don't want to limit my options too much, say $2,000 total spending limit. KA guarantees .5 MOA, but the marksmen in the Coast Guard say that I can expect .25 straight from the factory. I accept that these kind of statistics are probably impossible to obtain through mix and matching, but I am hoping the highly skilled members here can help guide me in the right direction.

I vaguely understand that the barrel/nut and bolt carrier assembly are interchangeable with other brands to a degree but I do not know any specifics.

Knights and DPMS pattern stuff get along just fine. Pretty much everyone other than older Armalite.

Internals and mags maybe, but KAC uppers and lowers are angled at the rear, like Armalite, not radiused like DPMS. I believe you can mount a KAC upper to a DPMS lower (pin distance is same?), but you will have an ugly gap. Buy a matched set of receivers, and you should be good.

I'm no expert by any means, but I have been doing a lot of reading and research lately because my foray into building a 308 "AR" has been bumpy. There's some good info on 308AR.com, as well.

Good luck on that $2k budget.

ETA: I started out trying to "do it on the cheap", and that bit me in the arse.

Thanks for the helpful information, I didn't even know about the Armalite/DPMS compatibility issues. After almost 4 hours of hard research the outlook of getting a cheap compatible out of the box platform that I can replace with these 2 parts is seeming dim. RRA uses a proprietary barrel nut and thread and strongly advises against mix matching parts. I wrote an email to DPMS specifically asking the barrel swap and bolt carrier compatibility, but they use extrusion manufacturing on their uppers.. as a mechanical engineer, at 1st glance I would consider this an unacceptable shortcut (but I haven't seen their specs) maybe its just a bad idea to try this. Anyways, I appreciate the information and I'm looking forward to reading more replies.
