ATF doesn't even know their own applications
So I got called into the BX to correct my 4473 from a purchase a couple months ago. The 4473 was an electronic version, filled out on the computer, with the only personal entry being my current address and SSAN. They had my correct birthplace available from the drop-down after selecting the state so I went with it. It seems the BX was flagged on a recent audit because the auditor wanted me to put in Honolulu instead of Tripler.
I told the BX clerk that I wasn't trying to be difficult but the software approved by the ATF had Tripler on the drop-down menu after selecting the state and Tripler was NOT in Honolulu city, anymore than Kaneohe, Kailua, or Hickam Air Force Base (now Joint Base Hickam-Pearl Harbor) are. The poor clerk got bounced around to 3 different ATF agents and only after she told him Tripler was one of the drop-down selections did they relent and say it was okay.
Where do I go to sign up for that one-way trip to Mars?
