Anyone have a recommendation for a quality knowledgeable Arborist in the Denver Metro?

He removed 2 very large pine trees that were consuming my house.
He was nice enough to work out a deal for about 1/2 the cost if I did the cleanup.
I can't say for sure if he deals with diseases and spraying ...but he might be able to recommend someone for that part of your needs.
I'm no expert arborist but... I do know a lot of tree pest problems are brought about by trees that are stressed and weakened by inadequate water. Plenty of deep root watering helps strengthen trees so they can naturally fend off pests.
It's something that is easy to try while arranging for some expert help.
Crabapple has fire blight and several of my neighbors and myself have trees with leaf curling aphids. And my Blue Spruce has some sort of mites. Crab Apple needs the most urgent care as Fire Blight will kill a tree unless you treat it every year. Once it has it it has it you can just keep the disease dormant.
I work for a tree service. If you want to send me your info in a PM, I can get someone out. It might take a bit as the entire industry is swamped right now. I do not personally take care of the area and we have a few offices that service the Metro area. Depending on the Zip you are in, will decide if the arborist is out of my office or another.
As to fire blight, you don't do much right now and wait to prune it out in the late fall/winter. Spraying has minimal efficacy from my experience but is warranted in extreme cases. Bees are the ones that will typically spread it around and that is why it appears to never go away. A bee colony carries the bacteria on them and it really never goes away and they spread it from tree to tree.
Leaf curl aphids typically require a systemic injection to get rid of them. It kills the aphids but does not uncurl the leaves. There are several injections but only a couple move through the trees quick enough but this depends on their size.
I guess you tree could have spruce mites. Don't see them too often but it is possible. Kind of unusual considering all of the rain. Mites do not like it wet. If the tips are brown it is from the mother's day freeze. Could have spruce bud scale. Bunch of things.
Again, can get another opinion if you would like. There is no charge.
As for the Spruce per the guy I stopped from Arbor Pro when he was checking out some trees down the street. He said something along the lines of "evidence of" rather than It absolutely has them. Any Spruce care would be preventative rather than prescriptive care. He gave everything a superficial look rather than a genuine evaluation and estimate because I really did not want to keep him from his scheduled appointments.Quote:

One of my clients and an incredibly nice guy.
My parents and I have had good luck with Swingle . . . not the cheapest, but they have always been good for us. We have an awesome black locust tree in the front yard that we discovered borers in shortly after we moved. Our guy from Swingle came out and assessed it, got us on a spraying schedule and we've never seen another. That tree also developed a large vertical crack in the trunk from snow weight where one of the big main branch lines was breaking away. I thought the tree was a goner. Called our Swingle guy and he came out and said they could repair it with a very good chance the tree would be fine. They came out, ran a couple large bolts through the trunk and reinforced the branches with some wire . . . that was 4 years ago and it's doing great. Crack is healing over and the bolts are hardly noticeable.
