GE Dryer
So within the last month or so my dryer has been having issues. The machine will turn on, run, spin, and heat but the clothes don't dry. They just get steamed. Checked and cleaned the vent. The lint catcher is clear. I don't have it hooked up to vent outside. It vents into a lint trap in the crawl space. Prior to the lint trap it still had the same issue. We even payed to have a "professional" come out and disconnect the line and clean it out, all to no avail. My wife's about to shoot me as we have a newborn and the laundry is getting backed up. I don't have the funds to buy a new machine and I've tried everything I can think of to fix it.

Make and model? Does it do it alone? No hose connected?

If dryer heats and clothes don't dry, they just steam, you are not getting air movement through dryer to remove moisture. Issue with blower drive/wheel.

One of the thermal switches could also be bad causing the heating element to cycle on and off.

Bufalobo is on track. You need to pull the hose off the back and check flow. I'll bet theres little to none. Pull the face and follow the airflow. Youll have a huge block of lint somewhere. Usually right around the blower sump
