And cops wonder why decent, law abiding, middle class white folk aren't rushing out there to back them up against the foolishness and slander of the #BlackLivesMatter crowd.
When idiots collide.
I don't see where anything justified pulling his pistol, but it does concern me that the guy taking the video says "you've done enough to my family". That makes me wonder if there is more to the story than just this video.
I was disappointed - the title of Cops Gone Wild! made me think it was going to be female officers acting out Girls Gone Wild! [Dunno]
From the guy's comments during the video he and/or his family has some kind of history with the local PD. There's more to this story than just this video snippet. I'm not a cop so I can't say if unholstering his weapon was proper, though I suspect it wasn't. I don't get why the guy didn't just take his hand out of his pocket. It seemed like a reasonable request, especially when the cop has a gun drawn. At this point comply to prevent getting shot. It's almost as if the guy was daring the cop to escalate. Not a game I am willing to play. Comply so you can live to have your day in court.
Crazy stuff...going inside would have been the best option but it does appear the officer was out of line.
Some sort of history there. Serious chip on the person's shoulder.
Where are the repost police when you need them?
Apparently the officer is still on paid administrative leave and the city is still investigating the incident. He was placed on administrative leave in early August.
The person taking the video, Don McComas has filed a law suit against the officer and the city.
