what sonic cleaner?
Considering getting a sonic cleaner... what size? what one? Thought about one to fit a whole upper but don't really see the point of it... i can clean the barrel... as long as i can clean the BCG i figure a small one will work just fine.. will mostly use for gun parts but will also clean cases as well.
Thanks for any opinions/ suggestions

I originally bought the Lyman 1200 (previous model to what's currently made/available) because the price made it the best choice. I used it less than a dozen times before it broke. I also didn't care for how small it was. Lesson learned: Save and pay once, cry once.
Next, I purchased the RCBS Ultrasonic Case Cleaner-120 VAC. I've only used it a dozen or so times, but it meets all of my needs and I love the built in drain to remove old fluid (unlike the Lyman 1200 where ou have to pour it out the top). I'd recommend this one.

hmm i do like the sound of that one because the big complaints on the others was either the size, the fact you had to dump it out, or the fact that it didn't run long enough! seems to address all of them

If you're dead set in getting a sonic cleaner, but one from Harbor Freight for less $$ than the Name brands. My HB cleaner seems to be the made by the same manufacturer that Lyman and Hornady use. Half the price. I rarely use it now that I have one.

I bought a Hornady sonic cleaner a while back and did an amateur review of it in the "Guns and Gear Reviews" forum. The Hornady works really well. Other guys talked about what they used in that thread as well.
