Any recommendations for laptop repair places/people?

I have an ASUS notebook (Q301L) that's a few years old and I'm starting to have some issues with the screen . . . I think it's probably just an issue with the cable for it. The screen is fine in some positions, but moving it forward makes it go weird and get streaks and lose quality. By goofing with the angle (usually angled back a bit more than I like) you can get it to look normal.

It's kind of a lame laptop, but it's mostly for surfing and light usage and I'm hoping to get a couple more years out of it. But I have to think that this is only going to get worse and it's not something I probably want to mess around with as a DIY. Does anyone have experience in that kind of troubleshooting/repair or have someone locally they recommend who does? Depending on cost, I may just say "screw it" and get something else, but if it's not an expensive fix and I can get more mileage out of it . . . probably worth it.

Tagged for info, I've got an HP I bought in 2015 and it does the same thing, except with mine it's a completely blacked out screen unless you hold it in one very specific spot. It's the only decent computer we have in the house, so even tho we don't use it much, I'd like to be able to.

I watched some YT vids on taking one apart . . . even started to try it a couple times. I could check the connection to the motherboard, but I'm not confident at all about trying to take the screen apart to check that connection. My bravery/stupidity only goes so far. LOL.

LOL, I've been known to tinker on things from time to time, but computers aren't one of them.

Watch the how-to vids several times, go slowly, and keep track of your screws. If you aren't super comfortable, just take pics as you go and then reassemble in reverse order. Don't force anything. If it's not coming off easily, check for another connection point.

If you don't want to do it, ask a repair shop the cost. Before agreeing, check out Microcenter's clearance stuff on their website and make sure to choose Denver location.
