Need some help with this, I have a WOA Krieger 20in service rifle barrel I no longer use. I woul like to have it cut to 18 inches and fluted if possible. Who would I call for that and what type of costs would I be looking at.
barrel has about 5k rounds down it, just started to loosen up at 600 but think it still shoots fine for tactical stuff.
Possibly cheaper to buy one in that config, than labor / shop time to flute.

I don't know how much it would cost total... but here's an example of fluting pricing: http://www.htcustoms.com/services $165. Then you would also want cut and recrown which is $45 (assuming cut price included in recrown?) So you are now at 210 for a barrel that is 5k rounds into its life.
18" is hardly what I would consider "tactical" usage length, unless you mean for an SPR style, at which point its accuracy is critical.
If you want a tactical usage barrel, or to spend the money on it, why not just get another WOA new for a little over same cost as the smithing work?

Not worth it. Sell the barrel and turn it with a little investment into what you want.
Woa 18" fluted barrels go on sale for 250 or less new 200 for non fluted. The barrel has some value left to offset the cost
Maybe you could try cleaning really well, out maybe lapping it to see if it will tighten up again...
