Scary accident
My wife is down in Dallas for the week helping her elderly step-dad pack up his house to move in with other family in the dallas area.
He was driving his honda oddesy mini van, my wife was in the passenger seat. He had some kind of medical issue and passed out while travelling about 70mph on the highway. They bounced off the right side barrier, shot across the lanes, bounced off the left median, took out a couple signs. Wife managed to unbuckle her seatbelt and get her foot onto the brakes just before they crossed into oncoming traffic. Only injuries were some bruises from the impacts and cuts from side-impact airbags going off on the passenger side.
I've seen shit like that on tv/movies, always wondered if it's realistic.

Holy crap! Glad everyone is ok!

Count your blessings, an accident like that. No injuries other than minor cuts & bruises, and no other parties other than the occupants in his van.

Dang... Good job on her part. How is step dad?

step-dad seems to be fine, he came to just after the van stopped. He didn't even want to go to the hospital, but my wife insisted. Initial check from the docs didn't find anything, they are running some more tests now.
definitely feeling blessed the way this worked out.

I always wondered what it would be like to roll a vehicle, then I got in to a near head on at a combined speed of 124mph. Thought never crossed my mind again after that.
Glad your wife and all involved are ok

Scary indeed. Glad to hear everyone is OK.

Wow- I'm so glad everything turned out okay. Scary indeed!
-
Glad it wasn't worse.
This is why I prefer to drive rather than let my parents or my in laws drive.

They'll call it "syncope" (sing-co-pee). Which translates to "We don't know what's wrong, he fainted."
Been there, done that with my father. Have them check for kidney function.
