Bristlecone bowling pins
Attended the most recent one last night, my second, and it's a ton of fun. I feel like I'm really improving my skills. They do this event every Monday night at 1700 and 1900. Really nice range, great range staff, and some pretty talented shooters in attendance. Definitely worth the $15 (plus ammo)!
Next week (1/22) the 1700 shoot is 2-gun, with the pins cut at the top, shoot the tops off with a .22 pistol or rifle, then follow up hitting the "bodies" with pistol. The 1900 is the regular, which I plan to attend.
Great fun!

Things have changed a bit since they first started a few years ago.

Hey guys. I've been shooting pins at Bristlecone for a few years now. It is hands down the best match in the metro area. The level of difficulty is pretty high due to the tables being 12 yards away. But the handicap system makes it more even paced. The prizes are $40 , $20, $10 gift cards for 1st , 2nd , and 3rd. It's always a really good time , and there is a match every week . Hope to see more new faces out there!

Do they have shoots you can do if you only have a 22 rifle (15-22), but no pistol?

They just have a 2 gun match. That is a .22 rifle or pistol then transition to a centerfire handgun. The pins are split in half TOP/BOTTOM . You shoot the heads off with the .22 then the bodies with the 9mm(and above) handgun. Hope that kind of explains it. You need a centerfire handgun to compete.

Who doesn't own a pistol?

I don’t own any firearms.
(Just for the official record.)
