My search foo isn't the greatest with under 4 letter words.
Anyone here have hands on experience with them? They have them in stock up here for a decent price, and considering jumping on the bandwagon before they get banned.
I like the Saiga 12, but its WAY pricey compared to the KSG. It would strictly be for fun/home defense as last resort. T.I.A.

If you like clunky shotguns, go for it. An 870 or 590 will do the trick, even a 500.
Aside from picking one up and admiring it at a show in Loveland a couple years ago, my sole experience was shooting 1/2 a box of bird shot through my friend's KSG last fall, for shits and giggles.... My first impression was "not worth it"... I personally prefer my 930SPX by fair margin because the KSG was too heavy and slow to shoot.
I'd be open to further convincing of how great it is, but i just found myself thinking, "ok, big woop" and going back to shooting pistols.
I have had a KSG for years. It's a cool gun and fun to shoot. I've personally never had any issues with it.
Some of the folks I've let shoot it have had the following problem...as they are squeezing the trigger slowly, they use both their left and right hands to pull the gun into their shoulder. At a certain point in the trigger pull, the rear pressure on the left hand actually unlocks the slide on them and they end up ejecting the shell unfired.
I've never had that problem myself. But I push forward with my left hand.
The bottom ejection port can also have a habbit of sending shells, brass first, into the biggest knuckle on your thumb. Not a problem, just quirk.
Word or wisdom, get a high quality, name brand vertical grip for the pump. Not some Chinese garbage. Your hand will appreciate it.
I've fired one once. I was neither impressed nor hated it. I agree with Kazoo that it's clunky.

When the come closer to the $500 mark where I feel they should cost, I will pick up another. Sold mine as $800 is a lot for a pump scatter gun. You could duct tape two 590's together and still have cash left over for accessories.
I got one for cheap from another member, sold it back to him. Like my 870 better
Bought one in June 2013, sold at a big loss last year.
CONS: Clunky, feels cheap, slide action not smooth like a Rem 870 or Win 1300.
PROS: Short, holds lots of shells.
Once I went to a quality semi-auto, I just didn't enjoy a pump shotgun.
