Guy crashes paraglider into forest, impaled by 12 inch diameter branch. Taken to hospital branch in tow. Glibly takes it very well telling folk I am groot.

OK...that branch is way too big to be stuck into any bodily orifice, especially where none was present before. But it's not 12 inches in diameter. Maybe 3 or 4. 12" in circumference, maybe.

Could be 12cm (4.72"). It is Eastern Eurorpe, after all.
