MOD: Thread title edited as it was misleading to call it a "teachers gun incident"

Can't get past the paywall. Can you post some details?
it's from November
I think the faculty was out of its jurisdiction. Legal term for saying they were assholes.

But, since we all know all guns are evil (mmmmkay; YES..sarcasm), the 4 faculty members who have been suspended (okay, okay.."placed on leave") for poorly handling this "incident" likely felt the need to involve themselves and "take appropriate action" against said student. I love how the article uses the term "armed with a gun" without providing additional information about the "incident". Again, saying "armed with a gun" has a much greater negative reaction than saying "in possession of a firearm".Quote:
"an off-campus incident in which a student was armed with a gun"
That's just my guess until the facts of the "incident" and how is was mishandled come to light.
Too bad. It's likely the fellow that lost his job is an entirely reasonable. The media is a bit irresponsible in just hinting of what happened. Makes most people assume the worst.
"alleged incident off campus involving a student in possession of a gun" sounds to me like they had no idea it happened as it's still alleged.
I wonder if the staff didn't report and there is a requirement?
