Did you try dialoguing with your appendix and asking it about its childhood?
I still have all of my original parts. I suspect my tonsils and wisdom teeth are conspiring with my appendix to take me out when I least expect it.

Put up some signs stating you are a gangrene free zone. Should stop that.
