Yep...that's a bit high. That's probably about an $800 gun on the higher end, IMO.
Is that some cold blue touch-up on the rear corner of the slide?
I have a 1981 vintage version of that exact gun. One of my favorites.
Show the ffl $750 ask him to call the owner since he has a cash buyer. Low balling him should bring the price up to the $800 mark. Or he'll accept it , possibly say no thanks, price is Firm.
Offering him $800, means he can counter @ $850.
Regarding cold bluing. Looks more like the light above the display case, as you can see it's reflection in the glass.
Also depends on how much the store charges - I’ve seen some take as much as 25%
$750 I'd definitely take it. That's a nice gun and you won't get hurt at that price. And you'll love it. Especially the hammer bite. Adds a nice touch of nostalgia! [Beer]
