I keep all mine, to the chagrin of my firefighter brother who says they are a fire hazard.
I keep the majority of mine. Mostly because I?m prone to selling things from time to time and the next owner will likely appreciate having all of the original goodies.
That being said, if the firearm isn?t of particularly great value and the factory packaging is pretty much a cardboard box I?ll usually toss it.
I keep mine, but I don't like it either. I can't imagine owning a gun where having the box would make it more valuable.
If the gun is going to be collector type, having the box is a good thing. Selling to newer gun owners the boxes may be nice for storage, but anyone with a safe and a gun habit the box or case isn't really worth much. We will just throw it in the basement with the rest of them never to be used again :)
I toss them, unless its a collector's peice.
This has popped up a few times I remember.
I used to keep the original boxes, not anymore. pita.
Keep!
Box and paperwork says you take care of it. Even if given as heirlooms, nice to have the boxes.
I keep them. Even if its just cardboard box.
Colt, old S&W revolvers, or high end guns yes. Everything else, no
