Does anyone know a good contractor that can resurface a concrete driveway on the cheap ?
I got a repair notice from the HOA about the spalling (about 65 - 75 %) on my driveway. Poor installation practices by the builder?s flatworm contractors. I procrastinated too long (15 years) to even think about a warranty issue.
I know it is an oxymoron to use contractor and cheap in the same sentence, but any help in the right direction would be helpful.

Virtually no topping treatment they do can last.
How bad does it look? Spalling is typically 5-10mm deep, and the concrete below is typically sound.
Finishers think they are going you favor by making the surface silky smooth by adding water and working the cream on the surface. This drastically increases the w/c ratio and knocks all the air out. Freeze/thaw damage kills the surface paste.
You may look for a contractor that can diamond grind the surface. It will have a corduroy like surface, but should last the lifetime of that concrete.
Ask your HOA if that is acceptable. It will be the best looking repair you can have done.
The corduroy look can be minimized by increasing the blade density.
Unfortunately I only know of highway grinders. You could call the Colorado Contractors Association and see if they have any in their membership.
The neighbor across the street had theirs resurfaced/coated ? Before they sold about 5 or so years ago and except for the tire marks it almost looks like it was just done.
Unfortunately I didn’t ask about what was used and I don’t remember the contractor, but I recall something about poly-coating on the sign the contractor posted after the job was done, but the homeowner removed it shortly after so the realty sign wasn’t distracted from.

I can't speak to the company above, just found it searching the web. Several of the contractors I found do concrete flooring, but not driveways.
