This bullshit of making dates official for XYZ interests has turned me against whatever it is 'they' are promoting.
Why? It's just part of the dance.
I didn't click the link, but I have to assume there are too many jellyfish and we are encouraged to eat or kill more of them to support a more balanced ecosystem. I like sushi, but I don't think I've ever seen jellyfish on the menu. Hmm. Well, I guess I'll just kill all of them I see at the beach instead. Some do sting after all.

Years ago, the marine biologists renamed "jellyfish" to "jellies" because the name was a misnomer - they weren't fish.
"Starfish" were renamed to "sea stars" too.
A group of jellies is called a "smack".
