Has anyone used a service to seal air ducts from the inside with the aerseal?
Been thinking of doing this and have a few concerns.
1. Cost
2. Effectiveness
3. Reduction in effectiveness of the heater.
Is there anyone on the forum that can perform this service?

Well they didnt bother to clean the ducts they repeatedly told you were dirty before they coated the system in glue.
1. Way more expensive than grabbing some duct sealer and going to town.
2. It does work if applied properly and there's no large flaws in your system.
3. It will generally make your system more effective if done properly
My advice is to get a roll of tape and some sealer and take care of your attic and any exposed areas. Then spend your money on extra insulation, assuming you aren't selling in 5 years or less.
Any leaks inside an interior wall cavity will simply move the btus in a less direct fashion.
That hepa extraction filter thing doesn't get it all and your place will be coated in a thin layer of glue. You pretty much have to cover everything you dont want to scrub.
If your home was built after about 2000 with an energy star rating it was supposed to have sealed ducts to begin with
We had it done a couple of years ago and we didn't encounter any mess or issues. They cleaned the duct work first and then shot in the stuff. The report we got was similar to what they described in the video. We also put in a new furnace and a/c, so our overall cost was high, but we've seen savings in monthly usage. We are also putting in new windows as we can afford them and we've seen a drastic change in that the whole house feels more comfortable and less "breezy" or cold.
How much did it run? If I can ask. Working on a new install out here and never contemplated it. I doubt it saves much energy costs per se, but it seems like it would keep the supply a lot cleaner in a dusty environment.
Yeah, new windows can have a significant impact. We replaced ours several years ago and our bills went down significantly. It's also much quieter inside. Was pretty amazing how bad the old contractor-grade windows were from the builder. We were living in a whiffle ball and didn't realize it.

I guess my opinion is leaking duct work is not a huge problem, on the supply it is conditioned air and still conditions your house, the supply I am all in favor or leak because we live in Colorado and there is no such thing as too much return air, especially in a house that has inherently bad air flow to start with. also a bucket of that duct sealer is like 30 bucks or so and can seal your house a few times over probably
