Rangefinder options?

Looking to pick up a rangefinder. Overwhelmed with the options available. Can anyone assist with preferred brand or model? Not looking to break the bank, but not wanting the cheapest out there either. Bang for the buck.

Well, to quote an old saw, "Depends on what you're going to use it for".
List of things to check:
1. Range: you can get range finders out to 3km, but if you're only shooting to 500-yards, why spend the extra $$ ?
2. Convenience - some range finders require (realistically) 2-hands to operate, newer smaller ones you can run all functions using one hand only
3. Reviews - Some reviews are really good indicators
4. Brand names I prefer for laser range finders:
Leupold
Nikon
Leica
Swarovski

I've used a Swarovski, but they are priced out of my range
I have a Leica 1200-yd. LRF, it's nice though is large and requires 2-hands to operate
I also have a Nikon small single-hand LRF, don't recall the max-range, LCD image, fits in my pocket, I use this most of the time. Not too expensive.

I have zero complaints about my Vortex Ranger 1300..

Does line of sight measurement as well as angle compensated measurement. Goes out to 1300yds.

Guidance on you budget would be very useful.

The Sig Kilo 3000 BDX has got to be the current value leader if you’re serious about longer range shooting.

I run a SIG KILO as well and really like the features for the money.

Straight LRF I like the Nikon 4K

+1 here.
For the price point the Furys are incredible. When comparing to something similar like the geovids from Leica the laser is every bit as good if not better, and the glass is almost on par. The only trouble I had with the fury’s was they weren’t as good at cutting mirage compared to the leicas. Small targets past 6 or 700 can be kind of a pain if it’s hot and windy.
