How survivable is lung cancer?
Heard it in the last 5 minutes of his show today. He broke the news like a pro. I know I wouldn't be able to hold it together that well.
It's more survivable than it used to be. Depends on the type and how advanced it is. I'm sure he'll have the best team working on it.
Here's the announcement (transcript and video): https://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2...cer-diagnosis/
I've been following Steyn since before he was a sub on Rush's show and was still living in Canada, but he's no Rush. Nobody really is. Saw Steyn discussing the issue with Tucker Carlson last night and it provided a lot of context. Haven't yet found the video to link here.
ETA: Not great quality, but you can tell what's going on;

Hannity is pretty close in the radio market. Steyn is great but he'll never get the following Rush does.
I don't listen to Rush often but I enjoy his show when I do. Really saddened by this news.
I agree. He's way too intense for my taste and he's constantly saying the same things, and repeating the same statistics, over and over. But his radio audience is almost equal to Rush's in size. And his TV show...well, no one is even close for that type of program. He appeals to a lot of people, just like Rush. And I'm guessing many who listen to one, listen to the other.
I end streaming when Rush is done. The only way Hannity is on is if I'm away and don't tell Alexa to shut him off.
Trump awarded him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom during the SOTU. Gave it to him right there in the chamber.
