Was inspired over on another forum, so this is what turned out. I did get impatient and rushed but im happy the way it turned out.

Nice work. I've done a few rattle can jobs and have been happy with the results.

I've had two projects on th back burner for a while. Maybe since I've been home a little more lately I might try and get them done.

I have an AR that is set up for hunting that I have been wanting to do a sort of tumbleweed camo on it.

I also have an idea for sort of an urban camo in black/gray/white implementing punisher skulls into the pattern.

Seems the one thing you and I do differently is that I start off with my lightest color for the base coat. In my mind, covering the lighter color with darker colors just makes sense. Probably doesn't make much difference in the grand scheme of things.

How does that gray primer hold up over time? I've been thinking of doing something similar to your toy AK, I've done it on a .22 before, but with black and gray as the primary colors.

The primer grey holds up ok, it has the matte clear which helps. Did the same sponge camo one another toy rifle of the kiddos. It has had alot of hard use before it broke in half.

They came out nicely. I struggle with taking a beautiful black rifle and spray painting it..... just me I guess.

I wish I could still get Testor?s Ultra Flat spray. My daughter did this one with sponges and Krylon.

I am so bad at putting my rifles together that there are always scratches and dings in the finish.

This might be the solution :)

Plus I think some of your paint jobs are really cool.
