Shots fired - Thornton
I couldn?t get details but I did get pictures. Saw this and first I just thought it was an accident. Got where I was going and someone informed me there was some sort of active shooter situation on Colorado Blvd. I doubt it was an active shooter but I guess maybe there were shots fired by someone?
There is a gold sedan crashed into a fence and wedged against a utility box. When I first passed the scene there was a lot more police presence along with fire trucks and an ambulance. When I came back by fifteen minutes later just a couple of police units and some caution tape.

Termination of a pursuit perhaps? That seems like a pretty fast clear for anything majorly significant. The gold car is still there right?

I don?t know the timeframe of events. When I first passed by assuming it was a traffic incident there were plenty of emergency vehicles and people in the scene and a large fire truck was blocking all of the southbound lanes. They might have already been near the end of the incident by then for all I know.

I bet this fool is from different town.
Thornton, westminster, and Broomfield has issues with crazies coming into cities to commit crimes.

BOLO: The suspect may have stolen a gold Jeep Grand Cherokee from the area with license plate OLD-489
Should be somewhat easy to remember.

Something must still be going on, because there is a helicopter sitting around a bit north and east of me.

The natives are certainly restless. Sure seems like things are a bit more wild than usual.
