The Transportation Security Administration confirmed to Fox News on Friday that it allows illegal immigrants to use arrest warrants as an alternative form of ID to board airplanes.

"For non-citizens and non-U.S. nationals who do not otherwise have acceptable forms of ID for presentation at security checkpoints, TSA may also accept certain DHS-issued forms, including ICE Form I-200 (Warrant for Arrest of an Alien)," a TSA spokesperson told Fox News. That refers to a civil immigration arrest warrant, not a criminal arrest warrant.

The agency added that the document will then be validated via an "alien identification number" being checked against a number of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) databases.

Since 9-11 citizens require picture ID and significant scrutiny. The only way this stupidity makes sense is 'government'.

Illegal immigrants gets all the easy perks and benefits.

If someone is illegal or legal who lost passport ID, they can (Should) go to their consulate/embassy to get a temporary passport to get out of foreign country (US or not).

Examples:
1. If someone is US Citizen who stupidly lost their passport at the bar drinking, they can go to the consulate/embassy to get their passport (or emergency passport).
2. Pilipino citizen had expired passport and wanted to go back to Philippines. The passenger was rejected at the airline. The pax went to their embassy/consulate, and got acceptance through their customs. The Phillippines sent a special message that this guy can travel back to Philippines with expired passport. Extremely rare, but I saw it happened before. (No, he is a regular avg joe citizen).
3, I've never saw illegal (but saw expired visa by few days) taking plane back to their country, but I am sure the consulate will work something out to help them get back to the country.

Sure but an arrest warrant?

Think about this. If you presented a cop with a cop of an arrest warrant as ID, would you 1) get a ride to jail or 2) be allowed to go on your merry way?
