Have you folks heard anything about CBI rejecting background checks for Boulder/Superior/Louisville/Lafayette/Boulder County residents if they attempt to purchase something on the restricted lists from dealers NOT in the impacted zones?

no
not sure how they could, the law is that you can't have them in Boulder, not that you can't buy them or own them anywhere else. what if you have a mountain home where you are legal to posses said item? also, Boulder has suspended the implementation of their new law for the time being.
CBI shouldn?t know what you?re buying other than a long gun or a handgun. So unless Boulder banned all firearms I don?t see how they could reject you based solely off your address.
CBI Instacheck is completely arbitrary with their rejection process. NCIC will approve the transaction, but CBI adds additional stipulations, which frequently are in error.
Thanks for the responses!
Nothing personally experienced or witnessed, just rumor.
As long as they get their $10 - $15 tribute I don't see them caring. Plus the gun shop getting their $50 highway robbery fee.
