Classmates.com
I signed up there in the hopes of reconnecting with some kids from my high school days which were a very long time ago lol. Unfortunately none of those I was looking for are there, a few I knew had passed away unfortunately. On the other hand a whole bunch of people have been messaging me. The names were not familiar nor were the faces when I looked in my year book haha. Most of my hs friends were either in the year ahead of me or at other schools.
Anyone here successfully reconnect with old friends from long ago?

Just had our 60th reunion for Wheat Ridge High.
There were about 45-50 who showed up from a class of around 440.
Some had been attending monthly potlucks together, so they had stayed in touch.
The Class has a Facebook Page and it has about 70 members.
The day before the reunion, the Wheat Ridge graduates from all of the 60's and 70's had a Picnic.
I went to that also, and there was a group of around 100 from all of the classes.
It was outside and the heat finally got to me after about 2 hours.
I think both were interesting and I was glad I went.

That’s very cool! I’ve stayed in touch with two buddies from college but lost track of those from high school. The stereotypical search for an old girlfriend from a different high school didn’t go anywhere haha.

My class is having their 50th reunion next month. Won't be there, high school wasn't the best times I recall. But I'm in the Facebook group for our class, and in touch with a few of the non-assholes. There was a recent post listing those classmates that have passed, and it was shocking - there's 88 people listed, many I recognized right off. Had to dig out my yearbook and look 'em up, pretty sobering.

I just had my 30th earlier this month. I got to catch-up with many folks, including one close friend. Out of 450ish, I think we are down nine so far, none of whom were acquaintances. Our oldest just graduated and our youngest is a sophomore at the same school.

Easier to use. Facebook group than classmates.
We have one Lao for loved and lost. Running spreadsheet for the passing of classmates by year and class.

I found out I went to school with a former Director of Central Intelligence. She was behind enhanced interrogation techniques and rendition operations. Another DEI appointment.

I never had any desire to see anybody I went to HS with. I was a hell raiser and didn’t give a shit about anybody or anything.
I ran into one guy I knew about 15 years after school at a vendor when I worked for the state. I asked him what he had been doing.
“Time” was his answer.
There are a small handful of people post high school I often thought it would be good to touch base with but then again…..we aren’t the same people we were then.

Used it back in late 2000's and 20teens, meh, too much spam and not enough participation by other alumni.
10yr reunion was cool, 20yr was ok but lightly attended, 30yr was no go due to lack of interest/response. Only 8-10 out of class of 56 showed any interest.
If you're unarmed, you are a victim.

High what?
LOL,
Enlisted, Graduated, left that state only to return briefly 8 years later.
Home on leave a few times - after basic, my wedding, a holiday or 2, return from Germany, and a change of duty station/birth of my second son, and ran into all sorts of people, in bars mostly, that claimed they knew me in HS. I barely remember a select few.
