I may wind up having time to run down to the range and shoot for a bit one day this weekend... if I do - I'll pop over to the Appleseed and say hey.
Due to the needs of the Army, I had to cancel my Appleseed seat this weekend :(

The Appleseed Project is a basic Rifleman course desigend to get people interested in shooting and teach them about how America came to be.
Fantastic stuff, and teaches you the basics, like how to use a sling, adjust your sights, proper shooting positions, etc.
Wish things like this didn't cost so much...
EDIT: Wish I made more money to SUPPORT things like this.
The cost is very reasonable, $70 for a weekend does not seem high to me. The group only charges to cover hard costs, everyone working is a volunteer.Quote:
