Thought i would post this i played football with his son, who is at west point currently. he is a stand up guy look at his website for your own thoughts. i think he has many good ideas and views that most of us would agree on. someone to consider for this Nov!

In short, while Ken Buck and Jane Norton have a fair bit in common, they also have significant differences. While it’s not clear to me at this point who will be the eventual nominee, I think it comes down to this: Can Ken Buck raise enough money to get his message out? If not, he won’t win even if many people think he has the better message. If yes, it’s anybody’s game. And if it’s anybody’s game, it can only be good for the GOP and the cause of liberty to have a vibrant public debate on the issues of the day – particularly if Republican candidates can do it without unnecessarily shredding each other.
I left my meeting with Ken Buck impressed with a man driven by principle, informed by experience (even if he reaches a few different conclusions than I do) and, most importantly, with an obvious focus on liberty and limited government – especially federal government – as an end in itself. It’s far too rare to hear even a Republican make the clear connection between federal government spending and lost liberty, and I applaud Ken Buck for making it.
Got his sign in my yard. Will vote for him coming up in Loveland. Jane Norton is already getting petitions ready.
Does anyone here know any more about this than the article states?

Gun case triggers exchange at GOP debate

Five days before mail ballots go out in Colorado's primary election, moods are just a little testy.
At an Arapahoe County Republican breakfast debate Wednesday, U.S. Senate hopeful Jane Norton again challenged opponent Ken Buck's judgment because he received a reprimand during his tenure at the U.S. attorney's office 10 years ago.
The rebuke came after Buck bad-mouthed a case against an Aurora gun dealer to defense attorneys before his then-boss, U.S. Attorney Tom Strickland, filed felony charges for the illegal sale of cheap guns.
Strickland said Buck's conversation compromised the case.
The gun dealer, Greg Golyansky, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor and can no longer sell guns. He is a contributor to Buck's campaign.
A woman in Wednesday's audience of about 200 people asked Norton how, should she lose the primary, could she support Buck if "he's as bad as your radio ads say he is?"
"Ethics and integrity matter," Norton said. "Because of Ken's reckless disregard . . . that is what the reprimand says, folks. I know you don't like it . . . it compromised the case. That's why 37 criminal charges were pled down to one misdemeanor."
Golyansky, sitting at a front table, jumped out of his seat. "Bull----! That was a case against me, and you're lying!"
Buck told Golyansky to sit down.
"This gentleman is a large donor to Ken Buck," Norton said. "Sir, you are no longer allowed to sell guns in the United States of America."
Golyansky sat down but continued yelling: "Because of liars like you!"
Asked whom they, if elected as a freshman senator, would pick as a Democratic mentor, Buck said there was no Democrat who reflected his views. Norton picked Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman, an independent who is "strong on Israel."
The two traded jabs about lobbying, with Norton defending her lobbying-heavy family — her daughter, ex-husband, sister and brother-in-law are lobbyists.
"I didn't choose my sister and my brother-in-law," she said. "I have a pledge I will not seek or support earmarks; that's where the lobbyists have so much influence."
One person in the audience alleged lobbyists can make "billions of dollars" after serving in Congress.
Buck joked he would take a no-lobbying pledge, "but don't use the word billions with me, OK?"
