If you really think this is Nazi Germany... you need to read a book or two. Better yet, talk to someone who lived through the holocaust. Couple of riot cop standing around is pretty freakin' far from Nazi Germany.
What Delfuego said..
Quote:
pklocek The Tea Baggers are all racist scum, even the black and brown ones! They are all woman-hating sexists, even the women in attendance. They are ignorant biggots who need to be tortured and then killed by the guardians of progressive society, and then they need to be tortured some more. I hope Obama rounds them all up and does away with them so that this Bush-lovers never threaten society again.
The first comment left,, Remind me again, who sounds like the nazi?
I'd say the cops are there because they were ordered to be. Not because they want to be..
I doubt the Cops wanted to be there, but see how the Commie Lefty Illegals burned buildings, threw bottles & fought cops? No Lame stream media coverage.
Time Square was a "white guy" media hoping it was a conservative.
Oath Keepers are demonized? All they say is we won't disarm Americans. Seems like a good policy to me.
If a Tea Party person sneezes and doesn't cover, the media would say they were engaged in germ warfare.
Not to mention that dims love calling Tea Party members "teabaggers" - it appeals to their (not-so) latent homoeroticism. A pejorative they can giggle over!
I watched the video. The police officers showed up and quietly stood on the side of the road. Someone off camera even said, "Now they're all standing together." Wow...that's somehow noteworthy?
And you actually equate that to Naziism? Seriously?
I agree with Delfuego...read some history books. You might also be interested to learn that Nazis were as far right on the politcal spectrum as they were far left on many issues. Totalitarian regimes often don't fit into clearly distinct classifications as "far-right" or "far-left".
Regardless, what exactly is the point of this particular video?
I may not like our current administration. But it's no more Nazi-like than the Bush administration was despite the claims of leftists at the time to the contrary.
Hitler had some very far left idealism. It was called the National Socialist Party.
My point is people who are standing for liberty are being demonized, while communist are given a pass in the media.
The car industry, education, banks, energy, water rights & health care have been or are partial controlled by government.
Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power.
Benito Mussolini
"When Fascism comes to America, it will not be in brown and black shirts. It will not be with jack-boots. It will be Bike sneakers anf Smiley shirts. Smiley-smiley. Fascism--Germany lost the Second World War. Fascism won it. Believe me, my friend". -George Carlin
Bush was just as guilty as Obama, Obama just screwed us more in record time.
OK...it was called the National Socialist Party. So what? There are countries such as North Korea or China that are called People's Republics. How much say do you suppose the people have in the running of either of those countries. Do you think the former German Democratic Republic was a democracy?
That doesn't change the fact that Naziism was on the extreme right/extreme left of various issues.
And I agree that the real patriots in this country are taking a beating while those that would "remake" it in a more socialist image are portrayed as saviours. And that really disgusts me.
But none of what you wrote answers the question regarding what is the point of comparing a video that simply shows police officers standing quietly on the side of the road with Nazi Germany?
Furthermore, it's my opinion that the late George Carlin should've stuck to comedy and not political commentary because he wasn't very good at it.
