Cell Phone
My wife and I are both retired.
She has a Trak Phone that is always losing calls. So next month will be the last month for it.
Don't need pictures, internet connection, texting, just reliable call capability.
Jitterbug looks like too much of an ancient person's phone.
Anyone have any recommendations?

go with a national carrier, you can get pre paid through all of them too, i would suggest verizon

Agreed with Verizon. Best network IMO

I have a nokia prepaid flip phone from t mobile. I don't know what model, it's not even listed on their site anymore. same one that my 12 year old nephew has.
works great, no frills.
works for me because I don't use it much for calls.
if she talks a lot on the phone you may want to go with a plan.

I am not too dissatisfied with AT&T Service.
Im Sure a basic plan wouldn't be too terrible. and they also have Prepaid.
-
Been with Verizon for about a decade dropped maybe 5 calls in that time.

AT&T, no probs. They have pre-paid too.

Motorola F3, the "Zombie phone"... I have one as a backup, quite like it. Battery life is outstanding, at least when it's left off. Costs about $20.
E-ink screen doesn't display all text message characters correctly though. It has voice help prompts. I've only made 2 calls with it, I'm using an international calling SIM that never expires, the downside is talk time is insane per minute. I keep it for emergencies, since I don't have normal landline in my house.

Verizon seems like the best service around if you are on the front range. I have T-mobil right now and service is HORRIBLE. I will be going with either Verizon or AT&T when my contract is up.
