Just got back from the carribbean side and there's no war zone there. Go to the border cities and yea it's FN crazy. I'll continue to vacation in more popular tourist filled cities.
I have no sympathy for people that get shot in Juarez. Sure, it's sad, whatever, but when you go to Juarez, there's a chance and it will happen. That's one of the most dangerous cities in the world, and it's funny that El Paso is one of the safest in the US
ghetto - No sympathy? No quarter to you then. I struggle to leave it at this. "whatever" as you so eloquently state.
This is nothing less than a tragedy! Shot in cold blood while looking at cars at a dealership.
I'll be in Mexico this time next month and I'm glad to hear from Opie that the tourist areas are (more) safe. Although there have been plenty of drug-war killings in Cancun...
I can't help but have sympathy for victims of Mexico's violence, but what I can help, is supporting that fu$%ed up Government, by giving my money to them. I'll keep my vacationing in the States, or in Countries that aren't ruining our Country.
Yeah, i'm an ass or something, but it's just like when people go to known dangerous parts of the world, that's a risk you take, and you shouldn't have gone there. Like I said, it's sad, but again, that's a risk you take (while unfortunate)
There are plenty of areas in Mexico that are safe, and Juarez isn't one...There are state department warnings, numerous news sources, etc that all say how dangerous it is there.
It's a sad thing.
But, stay out of the boarder cities. It's not safe. I have been in Mexico a lot. And driven through the big bad boarder towns many times. Even this past year and made it just fine. Stay on the highway if you must go through them, or just don't go at all. Going to Mexico to buy a car is strange itself.
30 miles south of the boarder all the way down is no more dangerous than living in Chicago when it comes to murder. Drugs rule the boarder, drugs cause the violence.
There is something more to it than looking at cars. The story said they mostly lived in mexico and commuted daily across the border to the catholic school. Along with 60 casings found at the scene. My first thoughts are they are involved with the drug runners. Something went bad and now they are dead.
This wasn't just a couple of regular teens on spring break.
Agreed.. a lot more to the story.
