Ryan Call elected new leader of Colorado Republicans

Call, the legal counsel for the Colorado Republican Party, needed more than 138 votes to win on the first round. He got 166.6 votes during balloting..."

Among the Republicans who hailed his victory was Kelly Maher, with the consevative blog WhoSaidYouSaid. "I think it's a big win for young people in our party," she said. "I think it's absolutely critical that we attract and engage a new generation."

Call, who succeeds chairman Dick Wadhams, begins immediately.

When I was working for state GOP I met him a few times. Good guy, not very assertive. He is crafty though and will hopefully be better than old Lisp.

Don't know Ridge, I'm "blind" to the guy. Did hear him during drive time today with Caplis and former Gov Owens, sounded soft & meek but said some of the "right things." Need more time on this one...
