Halloween display already up at the Commissary

Already? Really? At the risk of stating the complete obvious it is August. Not even September and we are already marketing Halloween? WTF.

That’s exactly what I said when I went to Lowe’s yesterday.

Lowes, Home depot. Hobby stores. I like the scare factor, but really. This soon??

Someone explained it to me, stores basically have a dedicated "Holiday" space or aisle in the store, and they just rotate through whatever the next Holiday is. Otherwise it'd be an empty section, or they'd have to re-stock it twice. Optimizing the system.

This is the "sale" item section typically. Two weeks ago where this display is now was about 64+ cases of gatorade for 97 cents a bottle. I filled the cart last time I was there and had hoped to do the same today. Ah well.
